Day Camp at Potomac offers campers a variety of fun and engaging activities within a supportive and structured environment. The lead counselor for each group provides the instruction for most activities, and Day Campers stay together with the same core group of campers throughout the day. Six different theme weeks, ranging from Superhero & Princess week to Pirates and more, add to the fun!

Activity blocks are about 45 minutes long, and campers experience a variety of programming, including Art, Countries and Cultures, Games, Sports, Swimming, Library, Nature, and STEM. Many of these activities will be taught by the campers’ homebase counselors with specialists providing additional programming. This rotating schedule allows campers to sample new activities while staying within the comfortable, friendly environment of their core group of campers.

Each class is led by enthusiastic counselors and counselor assistants who work together to create a stimulating environment where students are encouraged to try new things and make new friends. Campers will spend time outside, depending on the activity and weather conditions. Ample time is allotted for play and participation in special activities with their Homeroom groups.

There is no food service so campers bring a bag lunch each day.
