Summer@Potomac’s Nature Science programs are ideal for the young explorer, naturalist, and builder who enjoys being outside. Over thirty years ago, Nature Science Camp was started by science teachers in order to extend children’s knowledge, curiosity and fascination with the environment. Today, that same goal guides all of our head counselors as they plan purposeful, theme-based, hands-on outdoor and classroom experiences for 2nd and 3rd graders in Nature Science Adventure. Potomac’s beautiful 90+ acre campus vibrant ecosystems allows Nature Science campers to have inspiring opportunities to work together, explore, and better understand the world around them. As a small specialty camp, the Nature Science experience allows campers to form a community of new friends in a structured environment.
Nature Science Adventure
Is your child curious about the world around them? Does your child have an interest in caring for the earth? Then Nature Science Adventure is a perfect fit. Campers explore the outdoors daily. And Potomac’s beautiful 90+ acre campus is the perfect setting for these campers to have many exciting learning opportunities. Because experiences are hands-on, and inquiry-based, campers learn in creative ways. Highlights include catching tadpoles, caring for the classroom animals, tending to a garden, and creating works of art around topics of study. On-campus swimming instruction is also included.
Our Counselors
