Summer@Potomac’s experienced staff makes camper’s experience fun, special and enriching. Many of our Head Counselors are teachers with more than 10 years of classroom teaching experience and love summer camp! Our college-age or high school assistant counselors are Summer@Potomac alumni who understand the importance of connectedness and ensure that each camper has a memorable experience.

Shveta Khullar, Director of Auxiliary Programs
Shveta is thrilled to be part of the education industry for over 16 years. She has been a Panther, member of the Potomac community since 2015. Her first 6 years at Potomac were spent working in the Human Resources department where she gained invaluable experience in talent management and development. For the last 2 years she has been serving The Potomac community as the leader of the Auxiliary Programs, with her primary focus being on planning and organizing programs to enhance student’s experience. As a proud parent of a rising 4th and 6th grader at The Potomac School, Shveta fully understands the importance of creating a fun, safe, inclusive and supporting learning environment beyond the classroom.

Whitney Ennis, Director of Summer Programs
Whitney joined The Potomac School community in 2021 and been a part of the Auxiliary Programs community for over 20 years. Prior to becoming a panther, Whitney worked as the Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, seven years as Director of Auxiliary Programs at The Langley School, in McLean, VA and three years as Director of Student Activities at Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA. While she enjoys the variety of experiences auxiliary programs brings, Whitney loves the opportunities for creativity, risk taking and lifelong learning camp provides. When not planning for camp Whitney can be found on her yoga mat, trying new restaurants with her family or playing with her two dogs.

Semedra Thomas-Fields, Director of Extended Day and ETC
The Potomac School is thrilled to welcome Semedra to the Auxiliary Programs team! Coming on board in summer 2022, Semedra quickly jumped in to assist with day-to-day camp operations from from carpool to phone calls to camp spirit days. During the school year Semedra leads our Extended Day and After-School Enrichment programs where her love for children and creativity shines through.

Grace Burgett, Auxiliary Programs Associate
Grace is thrilled to be joining The Potomac School community as a first-year Auxiliary Programs Coordinator, bringing a passion for supporting and enriching student experiences. Before becoming a Panther, Grace worked as a Care Coordinator at a social service agency, where she helped guide young adults towards achieving their goals. Grace will also be supporting the Extended-Day and After-School Enrichment programs and is eager to connect with students and campers alike while creating a positive environment for them. In her free time, Grace enjoys spending time with friends, swimming laps in the pool, discovering new music, and playing with her dog, Hazel!
