The Robotics, Coding & Creativity Studio uses an art-based multidimensional approach to develop a solid foundation for learning STEAM concepts. Engaging the left and right sides of the brain, these programs help campers become critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers as they engage in art, coding, building, and robotics. Each week, campers will investigate the program’s theme, develop artistic and creative skills, and learn to build robots.
Weeks 5: Waitlist
Minecraft Engineers (July 10-14)
Calling all Red Stone Engineers! If you ever wanted to get your hands on a Minecraft world, this is your chance. In this weeklong program, campers will build robotic and mechanical elements while diving imagination first into building a physical Minecraft biome. Creative mode is on in this real-world rendition of Minecraft. Note: We do not play Minecraft in this program, but campers can pull from their past gaming experience to inspire their physical creations!
Superheroes to the Rescue (July 17-21 and July 31-August 4)
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a robot! In this week long dash to save the world, campers build their own robot and and apply mechanical concepts to turn their robot into the hero we need! Each day, our robot hero comes face to face with diabolical villains, always up to no good. It is up to the campers to create a hero persona for their robots to sabotage the evil plans before it is too late. Throughout this program, campers will build their own robots and create environments where their robots will save the day. At the end of the week, campers show off their most innovative routines that will be sure to scare the villains back to the holes, caves, or planets from whence they came.
Dino Bots(July 24-28)
A camp 45 million years in the making! Campers roar their way into some colossal fun as they dive deep into the prehistoric era with the help of their robotic companion that they build themselves. During this program, campers will build robots that will help in solving dino-themed challenges, and going on dino-infused adventures. Classes start with a problem that needs to be solved using acquired knowledge, skills, teamwork, and creativity. Everyone is sure to have a mega good time!
