Design and create a custom spacesuit for your robot, build a 3D model of the International Space Station and program your robot to interact with celestial objects. This is your chance to learn about a cutting-edge space program and the basics of color coding by engaging the scientific and artistic minds at the same time. Animal Adventures (July 11-15) (WAITLIST ONLY)
Did you hear about the robo-squirrel that scientists used to see whether a wagging motion of their tail could keep rattlesnakes at bay? Or what about the mechanical bee that helped guide colony members to nectar and pollen supply, helping to save the species? “Shark!” has a different ring to it when you know that it’s actually a rubbery crewless underwater vehicle, circling to keep divers out of harm’s way. In this program, kids learn the basics of robotics by building 3D paper models, then using our robot’s color-coding system. Robots will come to life to interact with creations that explore animal habitats and ecosystems. With a combination of art and creativity, your future scientist will learn how robotics plays a role in this vital branch of science and how current research of living organisms impact our everyday ecosystems. Bringing Games to Life (July 25-29) (WAITLIST ONLY)
Why play someone else’s game when you could just design your own? Whether your child is interested in tag, board games or Mario, they’ll learn to create their own games that incorporate color-coding skills to program their robots and crafting techniques to build 3D worlds of their own imagination.
